Yeast Infection Home Remedy – A Natural Remedy That Works

By Lucy Landon | November 7, 2009

Yeast infections, or candidiasis, are the worst. They can be a real nuisance, especially when you’re clueless on how to get rid of them. They all begin as familiar fungi in the vagina or mouth, but when foreign bacteria invades a yeast infection is born.

Ordinarily in the very early stages of candidiasis it can be really hard to tell that you have an infection, since the symptoms can be only a little tingle at best. The infected yeast will begin to spread pretty quickly though causing more pain and discomfort, making the infection much harder to ignore.

You do not want to ignore a yeast infection as they can be transferable, and in some extreme instances they can even lead to death.

Instead it’s essential that you find a treatment as quickly as you can. Seeing your doctor is always a good choice, but if that isn’t possible for some reason, or if your doctor approves it there are some natural remedies you can use.

If you catch the infection early enough it can be very easy to cure, taking less than 24 hours if caught in the beginning stage. A great remedy to try, when you’re feeling that slight tingle, is fresh garlic. Insert just one clove before bed and that may do the trick by morning.

The more advanced symptoms of candidiasis are notorious for being uncomfortable and annoying. The extreme itching, constant burning, and heavy discharge are more than enough to send anyone in search of the quickest cure possible.

In this case you may try a combination of two things. First soak a tampon in plain yogurt (containing live active cultures), insert it in the vagina and leave it for at least an hour. Next you can use the fresh garlic clove again, this time cutting it in half and inserted before bed.

Garlic is advised at bedtime due to the fact that it’s very strong, and typically people don’t care for the taste. What cutting the clove in half does is it make the garlic stronger, therefore making the healing power stronger. Should your infection persist you can add slices to the remedy. You should note that the garlic might sting a little upon insertion.

These are just a few of the natural remedies for yeast infections that have been working for people for many years, and they can work for you too.

Healthy habits and a good diet are important for keeping infections at bay, but should you continue to suffer from chronic candidiasis there are a few other things you can do to keep yeast infections away for good. Here is a natural remedy that is even more powerful and can put an end to chronic or persistent yeast infections: Yeast Infection No More Reviews.
