Diflucan is a what is known as a triazole antifungal drug. It is used in the treatment as well as the prevention of fungal infections in the human body. It is usually prescribed at 150mg or vulvovaginal candidiasis, 150 to 300mg once a week for skin infections. 500 to 600mg a day is indicated for systemic infections, and a loading dose of 200mg for the first dose is not uncommon.
